A: The Full CGS covers tuition fees, stipend, on-campus accommodation (or accommodation subsidy), and medical insurance. The partial CGS includes one or a few items in full scholarship. A: Generally, the duration of the CGS is 2-3 academic years for master’s students and 3-4 academic years for doctoral students.
Please note: according to the rules and regulations of CSC, CGS holders who have studied in China for more than one academic year should go through the Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status once a year. CGS holders who pass the annual review will continue to be sponsored by the CGS for the next academic year.

A: No. Tsinghua will select CGS candidates based on the recommendation of departments or schools and the requirements of CSC (usually from May to June, the specific schedule is subject to the notice of CSC).
Q: How can I get the final result of my application for CGS?
A: If you apply for CGS through Tsinghua, the final admission documents of CGS winners will be sent by Tsinghua and the result of CGS will be elaborated on the Appendix to the Admission Notice. If you apply through the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country, the final admission documents of CGS winners will be sent by the organizations concerned.
Q: If I fail to be offered CGS this year, can I apply for CGS through Tsinghua as a current student of Tsinghua in the future?
A: No. According to rules and regulations of CSC, current students cannot apply for CGS through the university. You may consult the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country instead.
